2politics.com is a site dedicated to tracking analyzing and reporting on the effects that technology is having on the political process. While the largest political shift is made every four years there are always elections going on at the local and state levels that are often overlooked. Our 2 major projects in this election season will be tracking the email distribution list that the campaigns use for both the republican and democratic parties, and the number of google alerts that are generated for each of the nationally announced cantidates.

Additionally we will be paying close attention to the battleground states and how each cantidate is doing, which is info that you can recieve anywhere. What will set our analysis out from the rest is the comparison between how they do in the polls and what if any corolation there is between the poll numbers and the Campaign 2.0 strategies that they are implementing.

It's not covered in traditional press or even in the new media. Examples include the early work done by Chris Hughes, a former officer of facebook for the obama campaign. a visit to my.barackobama.com will show you what i'm talking about. Will the social networking aspect that Obama is utilizing play a roll in his performance?

How about John Mccain's use of google adwords? All data will be posted at this site and if you like we can send you updates as soon as they are posted. Simply send an email to us and we will email you when a new report is available. These reports are free of charge and we encourage you to use them how ever you want.

We are always looking for like minded bloggers and webmasters to link to so if you would like us to link to your page then just send us a note with your URL and what your site is about.
